Calling all parents and young chefs!!! Sweetbay Supermarket is giving you the chance to "Make it, Taste it & Share it”!!!!

 

Moms and dads, make the following healthy recipe with the young chef in your family, try it for yourself and in three sentences, have your young chef tell us what it tastes like. Include your young chef’s name, age, address, your name and phone number and mail to:

Radio Disney will randomly select a winner from all entries received every other month. Each winning young chef will visit the Radio Disney AM1380 studios to record their “Chefcaster” report about the recipe.

This month’s recipe is:
Sensational Snack Mix
Note: Use single-serving bags or containers to take this snack on the go.
Prep time: 5 minutes
What you need:
  • 1 cup whole grain cereal (squares or Os work best)
  • ¼ cup dried fruit of your choice
  • ¼ cup nuts, such as walnut pieces, slivered almonds, or pistachios
  • ¼ cup small, whole-grain snack crackers or pretzels
Equipment and supplies:
  • Large bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Large spoon
What to do:
  1. Measure out ingredients.
  2. Combine in large bowl.
Makes three to four ½-cup servings

The Sweetbay "Make it, Taste it & Share It” Recipe Contest on Radio Disney AM1380 RULES is open to kids 8-14 (contestents must be within this age span at the time they submit their entry), and will run from 2/1/08 to 12/15/08. Every other month, starting in February 08, Radio Disney will randomly select a winner from all entries received since the last drawing. The winning child will win the opportunity to visit the Radio Disney AM1380 studios for the chance to record their “Chefcaster” report. Many will enter. Few will win. Only one winner per household per this contest. No purchase necessary. Open to the residents of the 50 states and DC, ages 8-14. Subject to official rules at radiodisney.com. contest ends 12/15/08. Void where prohibited.
