- Redbox kiosks allow you to rent the latest DVDs for only $1.20 a night.
- Redbox Video Rentals offers the current Top 50 new DVD releases/titles for $1.20 per night. Each Redbox unit holds 500 disks and includes a touch screen so customers can pick a movie, and a credit-card reader for paying the $1.20-a-night fee.
- The Redbox machines do not accept cash. Credit cards are the only accepted means of payment.
- Customers return the movies at any Redbox location. Customers' credit cards are charged $1.20 for each night that the video is out.
- You can check on-line to see what movies are in what machines and even reserve a movie.

What info is required in order to rent?
When you're renting from a Redbox kiosk, you'll need to swipe your credit card and enter your ZIP code as part of the billing process
What types of payment does Redbox accept?
You can pay for your rentals with both debit and credit cards, including American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
How long is the rental period?
Your rental period ends at 9:00 p.m. the day after you rent. Want to hold onto your disc for longer? No problem. For each additional night you keep it, you'll be charged for another rental period + applicable tax. If you hold onto your disc for the maximum rental period, you'll be charged the maximum charge and the disc is yours to keep. Those fees are $24 + tax for DVDs* ($25.40 in Maryland), $34.50 + tax for Blu-ray™ Discs ($35.51 in Maryland) and $60 + tax for video games ($61.48 in Maryland). At kiosks where DVDs rent for $1, the maximum rental period is 25 days and the maximum rental charge is $25.
What happens if I return a movie after 9:00 p.m.?
Your movies are due back at any Redbox kiosk at 9:00 p.m. the day after you rent them. For each additional night you keep them, you'll be charged for an extra night's rental plus any applicable tax.
Do I have to return my movie to the same Redbox kiosk I rented it from?
Nope. You can return your movie to any Redbox kiosk in the U.S. Use the Find a Redbox Kiosk tool to find all the Redbox locations by you on www.redbox.com.
Will I be charged if I don't return a rental?
For each day you keep a rental, you'll be charged the daily fee + applicable tax. You have the maximum rental period listed at the kiosk (20 days almost everywhere for DVDs) to return the movie before you'll be charged the maximum charge, after which the disc is yours to keep. Those charges are $24 + tax for DVDs ($25.40 in Maryland), $34.50 + tax for Blu-ray™ Discs ($35.51 in Maryland) and $60 + tax for video games ($61.48 in Maryland). At kiosks where DVDs rent for $1 a day, the maximum rental period is 25 days and the maximum rental charge is $25 + tax.
How many movies can I rent at once?
On your first Redbox visit you can rent a maximum of 3 discs, 1 of which can be a video game. Repeat customers who have never rented a game before can rent a maximum of 5 discs, 1 of which can be a game. Repeat customers who have rented a game before can rent a maximum of 5 discs, 2 of which can be games.
Can children under the age of 17 rent R-rated movies?
No, they can't. Redbox requires that you validate your age when renting any movies that are rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).
What should I do if my disc is scratched or broken, or it won't play?
If your disc is damaged, please let Redbox know through the Ask a Question form on www.redbox.com or by calling the Redbox Customer Care team at 1.866.REDBOX3 (1.866.733.2693).
What should I do if the Redbox kiosk is out of service or full, and it won't accept my movie?
If the Redbox kiosk won't let you return your movie, please call the Customer Care team at 1.866.REDBOX3 (1.866.733.2693) and they'll help you out.
What do I do if I lost the plastic case?
You can buy a replacement case for as low as $1.20 from any Redbox kiosk. Scroll through the DVD list and look for "Replacement Case" at the end.
There's an incorrect charge to my account. What should I do?
If you think there's an error in your billing, please fill out the Ask a Question form on www.redbox.com or call the Customer Care team at 1.866.REDBOX3 (1.866.733.2693). They're available 7 days a week, from 7:00 a.m. to midnight Central Time. Have the last four digits of your credit or debit card ready for verification. Please note that it's Redbox policy not to refund charges that are older than 90 days.
Does Redbox provide receipts for reservations, rentals, and returns?
Receipts aren't printed at Redbox kiosks, but you can receive email confirmations for rentals and returns by entering your email address during the checkout process.
