Sweetbay Supermarket will be offering incentives for customers using their economic stimulus checks to shop for groceries.

Shoppers have two choices:
1. Get a 10 percent gift card bonus when you convert all of your economic stimulus check to Sweetbay gift cards.

2. Get a 5 percent gift card bonus when you convert half the value of your economic stimulus check to Sweetbay gift cards and the other to cash.

Gift cards will be available for this offer in $300 increments. Only government stimulus checks will be accepted. Sweetbay is also waiving check-cashing fees. Customers will need to provide proper identification.
