Egg Tips Egg Safety
How To Cook Hard Boiled Eggs: Place eggs in a single layer in saucepan. Add enough tap water to come at least 1 inch above the eggs. Cover saucepan and bring quickly to boiling. Turn off heat and remove pan from burner. Let eggs stand, covered in the hot water about 15 minutes for large eggs (Adjust time up or down by 3 minutes for each size larger or smaller than a large egg). Immediately run cold water over eggs or place them in ice water until completely cooled. After cooking, to remove shell, crackle the egg by tapping gently all over. Roll egg between hands to loosen shell, then peel. Hold egg under running cold water to ease off the shell. Refrigerate as soon as possible.
